Personal Injury Appeals

Danielle Tarmu has joined the team at Morris Law Center to take on Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Appeals. Danielle has focused her career on representing people who have been wronged by catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, product liability, insurance bad faith, unfair claims practices, sexual assault, and medical malpractice.

After completing her legal education, she worked in general liability defense for a year, giving her insight into how insurance companies and defense law firms operate. In 2010, she was recruited by and joined one of the most prestigious plaintiff’s Personal Injury trial law firms in the country, and she has been passionately representing plaintiffs ever since.

She is widely known, and sought after, for her writing skills in these types of cases. Danielle has obtained multiple jury verdicts in excess of a million dollars, and two cases she argued before the Nevada Supreme Court have resulted in published opinions which set legal precedent in Nevada.

Every claim is different, so to give you a better estimate we would need to know more specific information. This is just one of the ways we maximize your compensation at Morris Law Center.

You can still make a claim. As a passenger, you are considered “fault free” and you can make a claim with the insurance company for the driver of your vehicle as well as the driver of any other vehicles involved in the accident.

No, by law your insurance company cannot raise your rates because of an accident you did not cause. You can find more information in our blog post.

Most likely, pursuant to your agreement with them, your insurance company is entitled to your statement regarding the accident. However, you need an attorney to protect you from your insurance company because anything you say to them could potentially be used against you. Remember, insurance companies work together and share information so that they can pay as little as possible to settle your claim.

When asked how much insurance coverage they have, many people say “I have full coverage”. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as full coverage. Insurance agents use this term as a selling tool so that people feel they have all the coverage they need at a competitive rate. To adequately protect you, your insurance coverage should be based on your amount of assets and your income level.
The most important insurance coverage with respect to personal injury claims is Underinsured/Uninsured (UIM/UM) motorist coverage. This is the coverage that protects you when you are injured in an accident by someone who has little or minimum policy limits or no insurance coverage at all.
Many people think that their health insurance will cover their medical expenses, but co-pays add up quickly. Health insurance doesn’t pay for lost wages or pain and suffering either.
Another important coverage is Medical Payments Coverage or “Medpay”. Medpay will pay your medical bills and co-pays whether you are injured due to someone else’s fault or your own negligence while in an automobile collision.
Please feel free to contact us any time to discuss your insurance coverage so that you can be prepared before you are the victim of an automobile accident.
